Hello everyone & welcome to Recovery Lab TV.For this series of videos @Recovery Lab TV were lucky enough to team up with @elimmissions , helping them raise money for their Be FREE projects within the UK and around the world.We began our journey together towards the end of 2021, where I met the team and began my preparation, planning & research.In order to cycle 867 miles from John O’Groats 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 to Lands End 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 #JOGLEMyself & the Elim Missions team had to commit the past 31 weeks to improving our cycling performance so that we were able to take on & complete the task in hand!Enabling us to use this amazing opportunity to help raise funds & awareness for their BeFREE projects around the world 🌎 All members of the team did this around their full time jobs and family commitments, all of which cost tremendous amounts of sacrifice & dedication, from both the athletes doing the cycling & their families supporting them throughout the challenge.To give you an idea of the scale of preparation that was under taken, in the past 9 months I’ve spent 516:26:02 in the saddle, cycling 3364 miles, with an average weekly elevation gain of 7157ft 🚵🏽In preparation for the challenge I got in touch with @British Cycling , @Dean Stott & @FrankieTinsley_Talisman about training mehodologies, sport science & the importance of nutrition / hydration when undertaking such a task.For those who don’t know, #DeanStott completed “one of the most epic cycling journey’s @Guinness World Records had ever seen”, cycling the longest road in the world (14,000 miles) in under 100 days. Raising £900,000 for the charity @Heads Together.#FrankieTinsley took on what has to be said as the world’s toughest #Triathlon, the #TalismanTriathlon. It combines swimming ALL of the longest lakes in Wales, England & Scotland, cycling the infamous John O’Groats to Lands End (JOGLE) and running the 3 Peaks. All athletic careers must come to an end, and frankly, it’s quite an achievement to become so good at swimming that your accomplishments can be summed up as a “career” from which you “retire.” A high school phenom turned Stanford standout and USA National Team member, Grant Shoults’ career had many highlights along with obstacles to overcome. A PAC-12 champion, Stanford record holder, and extra super senior (thanks to a medical redshirt + COVID year, he swam 6 years on The Farm), Grant recently made the difficult decision to walk away from competitive swimming as he enters medical school, but he walks away with his head held high, proud (as he should be), and he still makes time to get in and social kick. Although shoulder problems that often plague distance swimmers derailed his career at times, his retirement plan includes 3x chest days a week in the gym, so we may just see Grant back as a sprinter soon enough. Hello everyone Welcome to my newest video content. In this video I will show you my adventure time here in one of the most famous attraction located in Pugo, La Union.Beneath the tropical green forest of Pugo, La Union, sits the ever-famous Adventure Park, which is widely-known as PUGAD. Among the vast resorts and adventure parks in the province, it is one if not the best destination for tourists from around the Philippines.One thing that PUGAD has, and is the reason why it is the most visited so far, is the climate. Since Pugo is not far from the City of Baguio, the Summer Capital of the Philippines, the temperature of the place is quite cold even if the sun is terribly shining. It is far from the city so one could really feel mother nature’s breath just as upon wandering on the forest or on the green fields around. Among the different varieties of trees and woods are pine trees which is no difference from Baguio City.PUGAD adventure’s asset, aside from the climate, is the nature of the place. It has the very first zip line adventure in the province. It has pools, for kids and adults, and cottages of different sizes. At the entrance, friendly smiles from the accommodating staffs welcome every visitor. Roving personnel are also deployed to ensure the security of everyone. There are three parts of the quite-wide adventure park which were divided by hanging bridges. The first part is the view at the entrance. There is a pool surrounded by cottages and this is the same as the second part while the third part is the main attraction of the place. It is where the king-size pool for adults and the mini zoological and botanical garden are located. There are also activities offered in the place such as zip lining, wall climbing, repelling and team building activities. Packages on the different activities are also offered at affordable prices. Indeed, there is a life at Pugad. It is very suitable for family bondings, barkada trips or even couple dates.Aside from what have been mentioned, PUGAD is nature-themed. It is what travelers and tourists are looking for most of the time. This is also the reason why it is fully-accommodated on weekends, on holidays and even during weekdays.
