How I Planned for My Nonprofit Sabbatical Leave & Preventing Burnout [Video]

Considering nonprofit sabbatical leave? Here’s my experience. #nonprofits #burnout #sabbatical Preventing burnout is not just ideal, it’s a must-have for nonprofit jobs. Nonprofit leaders are notorious for working intensely and overcoming big challenges while trying to help as many as we can, which puts us at greater risk of burnout. But a sabbatical, when feasible, can help people in nonprofit jobs rest, recover, and re-energize for the work ahead. In this video I share a little bit more about my own experience planning a nonprofit sabbatical and share some steps and tips for you to plan your own nonprofit sabbatical leave.FOUNDER TO FULL-TIME: Check out my trainings and blog on starting a nonprofit or social enterprise at http://foundertofulltime.com/ // WHAT TO WATCH NEXT Starting a Nonprofit: Your Basic Compliance Checklist!https://youtu.be/28_vAxobgtoHow to Manage Stress and Avoid Burnout as a Change Makerhttps://youtu.be/AiUJaH8IbjwTime Management Tips from a Nonprofit Executive Directorhttps://youtu.be/-Tu7ywezfnM// CHAPTERS00:00 Welcome!02:20 Symptoms of Burnout03:44 Recap: What is a Nonprofit Sabbatical?05:08 Why a Sabbatical is important10:38 My own Sabbatical reflections13:48 Considerations to plan a Sabbatical// MORE ABOUT ME Hi! Final stretch of The Push-Up Challenge! #pushforbetter #charity #mentalhealth [Video]

If you would like to LEARN MORE AND/OR DONATE *Click The Link*Checkout my profile page! https://www.thepushupchallenge.com.au/fundraisers/mariondenton/the-push-up-challengePLEASE READ UNTIL THE END! Thank you!I’m no stranger to mental health issues and I’m not ashamed of it, No one else should either. The Push-up Challenge is something I believe and I am taking part in, so let’s end the stigma behind mental health issues and bring more attention to it. •Suicide can be caused by mental health issues. If your feeling down or you feel like you don’t have a choice and that there’s nothing left to live for? You always have a choice, remember that. Just stop, breathe and call 911 or even a friend or mate. You are human. What do humans do? They learn, adapt and overcome! Find a reason to live for! Get yourself a dog, cat or even a bird. Mental health is something no one really pays attention to or believes they have mental health issues. There’s nothing wrong with being depressed or having social anxiety. If you can call your local Mental Health Institute and set up an appointment. You can be healed. I believe in you#mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #pushforbetter #movember #fitness #pushups #pushupchallenge #charity #donate #givingback

Episode 40: How Mental Health Affects Your Finances [Video]

On this episode of Millennial Debt Domination, Katie discusses the impact mental health issues have on finances. The month of May highlights Mental Health Awareness. Mental Health Awareness is the ongoing effort to reduce the stigma around mental illness and mental health conditions by sharing your personal experience. Finances not only have a big impact on your mental health, but having mental health issues can also impact your finances. The decline in your mental health makes it harder to manage money. You may find it more difficult to concentrate or lack the motivation to pay your bills on time. You could also lack the confidence in your career which could lead to taking time off work or loosing your job entirely which would leave you with no income. Today I’ll be joined by Amy Ryan who is a clinical social worker and therapist. Amy counsels many clients with mental health issues who are in turn struggling with their finances. Katie and Amy discuss feelings associated with money, coping mechanisms used for depression, how having mental health problems affects your ability to save money, and much more.
