On the weekend before Thanksgiving, over 200 volunteers packed and distributed meals for Project Hunger’s Thanksgiving Giveaway.

During the holidays food brings families together, but not everyone can afford a meal, and that is where YFS comes in for their clients.

There is a free school supplies and food giveaway at the Johnson Park Center Food Pantry.

THEYRE GOING TO HAND OUT 32 PALLET LOADS OF MATERIALS. THAT INCLUDES BOOKS, DECORATIONS AND SUPPLIES. AND SUPPLIES WERE DONATED BY THE ORGANIZATION CALLED CARSON DELLOSA EDUCATION. THE EVENT IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, PRIVATE AND HOME SCHOOL EDUCATORS AS WELL. ITS WIDE OPEN. OKAY, WERE GOING TO HAVE READING BOOKS OF ALL AGES OF EVERY CATEGORY. I MEAN, WEVE GOT SPANISH SPEAKING BOOKS. WEVE GOT BOOKS ON GOVERNMENT BOOKS ON TREES, BOOKS ON, YOU NAME IT. WERE GOING TO HAVE IT HERE TOMORROW. WERE GOING TO HAVE A LOT OF IT. AND WERE GOING TO PUT A LIMIT ON IT. NO LIMITS AT ALL. YOU COME IN HERE AND PICK UP ANYTHING YOU WANT. THIS IS TAKING PLACE AT THE HISTORIC BROYHILL IN CLEMMONS. THATS ON 3540 CLEMMONS ROAD. THE EVENT BEGINS AT TEN IN THE MORNING AND IS ON A FIRST COME. FIRST SERVE BASIS AND CALADIUM IS ALSO GIVING AWAY SUPPLIES TO TEACHERS TOMORROW. THE MUSEUM SAYS IT HAS A LOT TO GIVE AWAY.
