Last minute, I decided to go on a solo date to washington, d.c. I didn’t want to spend time looking for parking and I haven’t been on the metro by myself in years… sooo I rode the metro into the city by myself and looked for things to do throughout the day. I started off by going to the Hishorn museum for the Yayoi Kusama exhibit. Tickets are free, but they are on a first come first served basis and they open at 9:30am. I got to the museum around 10am. Since it was a Monday, I didn’t have to wait in line for the tickets, but my entry time was 11:15am. They had a cute cafe inside, so I had coffee & a blueberry scone while I waited. Next, I walked through a few botanical gardens (Enid A. Haupt & U.S. Botanic Garden). Around 1pm, I was hungry so I walked over to the Wharf, DC and had some good food. I think it’s so good finding some time to occasionally travel alone. It was much needed for me :)Places I visited:📌Hishorn Museum & Sculpture Garden📌Enid A.
