The event started Saturday morning around 11 a.m. at Agawam High School.

Here I recorded several walks in Bangkok as there are several interesting districts with different vibes.We start our walking tour on a hot afternoon at the Santi Chai Prakan Public Park. Overlooking the Chao Phrana River with the Rama VIII Bridge this park is near the Phra Sumen Fort, where we finish a Khao San Road evening walk. On this tour we walk south and pass the temple “Wat Chana Songkhram” on our way to Khao San Road. We leave the area and get further north to the Phra Nakhon district.There in Phra Nakhon are fewer tourist sites yet we can see more of Bangkok with smaller temples and many shops along the Thanon Samsen street. We are now away from the tourist area in the Dusit district, which is the political hub of the area with government offices. YOLANDA SANCHEZ HAS BEEN CEO OF THE UNM COMPREHENSIVE CANCER CENTER FOR ABOUT HALF A YEAR, AND ALREADY SHES CONTRIBUTING CUTTING EDGE RESEARCH. SHE BEGAN RESEARCHING DECADES AGO, FOCUSED ON GENERAL MEDICINE. BUT WHEN HER MENTOR SHIFTED TO CANCER RESEARCH, SO DID SHE. MY PROJECT BECAME A CANCER PROJECT THEN, AND. AND I WAS HOOKED. AND IVE BEEN DOING THAT SINCE THEN. DR. SANCHEZ EXPLAINS HER BREAKTHROUGH WITH A CAR ANALOGY. THE PROJECT WAS TO TAKE A CHROMOSOME, WHICH HAS A LOT OF GENES FROM A NORMAL CELL AND MOVE IT INTO A TUMOR CELL. AND IF IT WAS IF THE GENE THAT WAS MISSING WAS ON THAT CHROMOSOME, THEN IT WOULD BE RESTORED IN THE TUMOR CELL. AND THE CELLS COULD NOT MAKE A TUMOR ANYMORE. IT WAS LIKE YOU WERE PUTTING THE BREAK BACK IN. I FOUND OUT TWO OF THOSE BREAKS. IT WAS A HIGH AND IT WAS THE BEGINNING OF MY JOURNEY IN CANCER RESEARCH. MOST RECENTLY, DR. SANCHEZ LED RESEARCH AT DARTMOUTH SCHOOL OF MEDICINE. BUT THE EL PASO NATIVE WANTS TO BRING THAT SAME LEVEL OF CARE TO THE AREA SHE CALLS HOME. In the medieval Ribeira (riverside) district, narrow cobbled streets wind past merchants’ houses and cafes. São Francisco Church is known for its lavish baroque interior with ornate gilded carvings. The palatial 19th-century Palácio de Bolsa, formerly a stock market, was built to impress potential European investors ― Google_______________Porto / Portugal is a coastal city in the North of the country. Porto is known for port wine and has some iconic bridges over the Douro river.We start our walking tour at the Liberty Square (Praça da Liberdade) with the Town Hall (Câmara Municipal do Porto ). On this square are a few monuments and the Christmas decorations.We walk uphill to the Igreja da Santíssima Trindade and check out the Trindade shopping center nearby. Via the Rua da Conceição we get to the garden “Jardim da Cordoaria” and find the viewpoint “Miradouro da Vitoria”.After we’ve seen the Luís I Bridge (Ponte Luís I) we head uphill again to see the Porto Cathedral (Sé do Porto).
