After 2 years of planning we were finally able to take a cruise vacation with a large family group of 16. It is our very first cruise with Royal Caribbean onboard the Navigator of the Seas. We are boarding this ship for a 7 night Mexican Riviera cruise leaving out of Los Angeles (Port of San Pedro) making stops at Los Cabos San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. We will be staying on a Veranda or Balcony room and will share a small tour of the room that occupies up to 4 guest. This cruise will be quite special since it will not only be our first time cruising with Royal Caribbean Cruise Line but also adding Autism of the Seas Program. We will be utilizing their amazing service and have a 1:1 service for each of our kids to try out how this program will work out for our family dynamic. Royal Caribbean takes huge pride in being one of the most welcoming of all abilities and the only cruise line Certified Autism Friendly. Join Zach, Monica, and their girls in Costa Maya, Mexico on Wonder of the Seas, the world’s largest cruise ship from Royal Caribbean. This is Day 5 of their 7-Night Western Caribbean & Perfect Day cruise! The day begins with breakfast at Park Cafe in Central Park before heading out to Costa Maya to enjoy a beautiful day! We got to see the Papantla Flyers and visit the Aviarius Bird Aviary as well as tour this amazing port. Back on Wonder of the Seas, we all took a turn on the Ultimate Abyss Slide before eating lunch at Johnny Rockets on the Boardwalk. We then were the first viewers of the Anchors Aweigh Parade aboard Wonder of the Seas, the largest parade every produced for a Royal Caribbean cruise ship. After the parade, we went up to Deck 16 to do the Zip Line and play at the Wonder Playscape. For dinner we went down the rabbit hole to Wonderland: Imaginative Cuisine where we were escorted and entertained by the Mad Hatter. We ended the evening at Schooner Bar and Spotlight Karaoke. And so it begins….First Royal Caribbean cruise down, so many more to go! I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous the entire month before our cruise. I was so afraid I’d be sick the entire time. Thanks to motion sickness patches, I made it through. Our first night we pretty much played everything by ear. We flew into FLL ( Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport) the day before our cruise on May 29th (highly advise flying in the day before if you can) then took an Uber 40 min. to our hotel in Miami. Join Zach, Monica, and their girls in Roatan, Honduras on Wonder of the Seas, the world’s largest cruise ship from Royal Caribbean. The family is onboard for a 7-Night Western Caribbean & Perfect Day cruise! After a quick breakfast in Windjammer Marketplace and playtime at Wonder Playscape, it was time to disembark at Town Center at Port of Roatan, Honduras. The family went on a Highlights of Roatan tour that sent them through beautiful Honduras landscapes, onto the water to spot Mangrove trees, and to El Velero Azul for chocolate tasting, dancing from the Garifuna people, and lunch and beach time. Back on the ship, it was raining so the kids went to Adventure Ocean while Zach & Monica got to enjoy the indoor space in the Solarium. After everyone cleaned up for dinner, it was time to head to Izumi Hibachi & Sushi for some amazing food & entertainment. After dinner, the adults went bar hopping across the ship which included stops at the Bionic Bar, Rising Tide Bar, Trellis Bar, and concluding at Wonderland.
