Cycling 100KM Everyday Outside in July to Raise Money for MacMillan Cancer Support // Day 4 [Video]

In July I will be cycling at least 100km everyday to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/mountain-goat-cyclingMy brother’s story in his own words:’Suzanne was first diagnosed with tumour in 2000 had an operation and it stayed away for about a year then came back again another operation then about 2 years later came back again for the 3rd time and this time there was nothing they could do that’s when macmillan got involved at first they said Suzanne only had weeks to live so they were round the house every day helping with Suzanne keeping an eye on her when I had to go out pick up luke from school shopping and stuff. Suzanne proved them wrong and lived for another year and we stopped them coming to just once a week Suzanne didn’t like them being round she wanted independence so I looked after her myself before she became too poorly again which happened quickly in the end, they were here when she passed away at home and I kept seeing them for a few months afterwards for support they were great they even got us a dryer to dry clothes incase she fell over the clothes horse they were always there to talk to if you needed them, I was 30 when Suzanne first got poorly Suzanne would have been 28 luke 5, she passed away at 33 I was 35 and luke 9.’Cycling, Dogs, FamilyFollow me Cycling onStrava: Corinne ‘The Mountain Goat’ Black[BCC/VC167]Zwift: C orinne Black[BlaydonCC][AsC]Instagram: _the.mountain.goat_Audio:www.bensound.com

Emma Cruises Charity Fundraiser – LIVE [Video]

I am so excited (and a little nervous) to announce that on the 3rd of May 2022 I will be taking part in a charity fundraising event called Macmillan’s Brave The Shave. The event will be hosted live on YouTube and will be in memory of my friend Sean who passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2021 and in support of all those affected by cancer.Event: Brave The Shave Charity FundraiserLocation: Emma Cruises YouTube ChannelTime: Tuesday 3rd May 5PM UK (12PM Eastern)There are three ways to donate to the fundraiser:- Directly to Macmillan (UK Residents Only) – https://bravetheshave.macmillan.org.uk/shavers/emma-le-teace1- On this live stream (Most Countries Excl Australia) – – Through Just Giving (Worldwide) – https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/emma-le-teace1The fundraiser will raise money for Macmillan and Stand up to Cancer. My hair will be donated to the little princess trust to make wigs for children that have lost their own hair through cancer or other conditions. Why Am I Doing This? For a couple of years, I knew that I wanted to do ‘something’ and ‘some point’ to help those affected by cancer. I’ve been growing my hair for a few years because I knew that I could donate it.When my friend Sean passed away from Pancreatic cancer in 2021 I realised that there is no better time than now, life is too short and none of us know how long we have to do things.I recently hit 100,000 subscribers on my YouTube channel and that made me reflect on what an amazing community we have built here. The collective power of 100,000+ people in INSANE and I’m sure that we can raise a lot of money with this fundraiser.I’ve set a very ambitious goal of $50,000 but I think we can do it.Who Are Macmillan Cancer Support?Macmillan are a charity that provides support to people with cancer, aiming to help them to live life as fully as they can. They have lots of ways in which they fundraise but one of the biggest is Macmillan’s Brave The Shave.Thousands of people take part every year. They provide help with things like managing finances, returning to work, and emotional support. I personally know lots of people who have been helped by Macmillan’s services.Who Are Stand up to Cancer?Stand up to Cancer are an American charity (with a UK portion) that focuses on using the entertainment industry to raise money for cancer research and treatment. They host lots of large media events and work with a lot of celebrities. If you’re from the UK you may have seen the Stand up to Cancer bake-off episodes among other things (called the Great British Baking Show in the US).How To DonateThere are two ways to donate to the fundraiser:Macmillan (UK Residents Only)YouTube Giving (All Countries)YouTube GivingYouTube has a feature called YouTube giving which means that you can donate directly to charity through YouTube and YouTube won’t take a percentage. This is what we will be using during the live stream.Donations will appear on the screen similar to how super chats work on regular YouTube live streams.Macmillan are a UK charity so they’re not supported by YouTubes giving program, so we will raise money for Stand up to Cancer on the YouTube live stream. Both Macmillan and Stand up to Cancer are great charities and that way you can donate no matter which country you’re from. If you do have anything at all spare, please consider making a donation. If every one of my YouTube subscribers could donate £1 we could improve so many people’s lives. What Will Happen at The Event? We’re still working out the finer details but the event will be live-streamed on YouTube here on the 3rd May at 5 PM UK time.A friend will be shaving my hair, I’ll be packaging it up, posting it off to the Little Princess Trust, and then heading to the airport to board my 90s themed cruise.â–¶ Weekly Updates: http://EmmaCruises.com/Newsâ–¶ Book a Cruise: https://EmmaCruises.com/Book-a-Cruise/Let’s Connect! â–¶ https://EmmaCruises.com/SocialLinks*** â–¶ Background World Map: https://emmacruises.com/recommends/wood-world-map/ (Affiliate link)emma@emmacruises.com
