Thank you to everyone who joined us on May 20 for Humanitarian Day. The dedication and enthusiasm shown by all attendees made it an unforgettable event, filled with compassion and a shared goal of making a positive impact. The activities included building hygiene kits, exploring our disaster response clinics, writing notes on boxes of aid headed to Ukraine, learning hands-only CPR, and touring our mobile medical vehicles. Together, volunteers assembled 6,255 hygiene kits that will be distributed to people in need across the United States and around the world!

Thank you to our partners Christian Medical Association of Ukraine for sharing this video with us of one of our shipments of medicine and medical aid arriving in the country. This $34 million worth of medicine for asthma, infections, diabetes, high blood pressure and metal health, among others will provide almost 300,000 courses of treatment for the people of Ukraine. Also a big shoutout to @Flexport for covering the costs of shipping for all this critical medicine. ❤

Clinic in a Can – how the delivery of shipping-containers-turned-medical-clinics is helping sustain the Ukrainian healthcare infrastructure during this crisis. Wes Comfort from Heart to Heart International was in Ukraine in July to check on the status of the clinics that HHI has already sent and to help partners determine needs and locations for the next shipment of clinics. These clinics will help alleviate the stress from the influx of patients at hospitals by offering extra space and serve as stand-alone clinics in areas where the existing medical infrastructure has been destroyed or damaged. Heart to Heart International has partnered with Clinic in a Can to deliver 3 mobile medical clinics to Ukraine. The clinics will provide needed medical infrastructure to support a country where at least 89 healthcare facilities have been bombed. The mobile clinics were packed with food packs and 3,600 hygiene kits yesterday and will be transported and set up in Ukraine by the Gorta Group with the direction of the Ukrainian Ministry of Health.
