This video is all about our Running a Lifesaving Sanctuary Certification, which teaches you how to run a successful animal sanctuary!Jana de Peyer, Best Friends Animal Society co-founder and course instructor, discusses our Running a Lifesaving Sanctuary Certification details. This course covers topics such as creating a nonprofit organization, fundraising, adoptions, volunteers, and more! The course is a comprehensive 10-week online program, followed by a 6-day in-person experience at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah. During the online portion, you’ll explore 16 self-study modules, complete assignments, engage in discussions, and participate in weekly Zoom calls on Wednesdays from 1:30-3:00 p.m. MT. The in-person experience at Best Friends Sanctuary includes an in-depth tour, live group classes with subject matter experts, and the chance to create your own personalized schedule of immersion sessions.The next session starts on February 28, 2024, with the in-person portion running from May 13-18.
